WHEN: Tuesday, June 24th, 2008

11:00 a.m.

WHERE: State Capitol North Steps (ìLî Street side)

Sacramento, CA

UC Workers and retirees are the only state workers in California without representatives with a vote on how pension money is invested, how benefits are administered, and on what governance policies the fund should have. With assets totaling over $48 billion, shared governance would improve pension security by reducing conflicts of interest and providing broader oversight of pension investments and benefits changes.
